A selection of favourite recipes from Nice
The historic County of Nice was founded towards the end the 14th century when Nice left Provence for the protectorate of the House of Savoy to which it would remain attached for almost 500 years in company with the Italian province of Piedmont and island of Sardinia. In 1860, the people voted to join France, but Nice’s unusual heritage continues today to mark its distinctive character and, in particular, its colourful and fragrant cuisine.
Nice French Riviera – Best Classic Recipes by Niçois-born, Denis Bensa, will appeal to all those who want to take something home from this special part of southern France, who enjoy delicious, unassuming and healthy cooking and the quality and flavour of fresh, seasonal produce – a selection of favourite recipes from Nice which can be successfully recreated in one’s own kitchen.
